Focus on Weed Spectrum

June 13, 2017

Herbicide resistance can cause pesky weeds to grow in your fields. Developing a management plan based on a field’s weed spectrum ensures weeds are controlled with the right herbicide so the soybean crop can capitalize on nutrients and moisture in the soil. Timing is also critical to maximizing control.

A herbicide like Flexstar® GT 3.5 will help keep weeds out of soybean fields. Flexstar GT 3.5 is a post-emergence herbicide with two modes of action designed to control weeds that are resistant to glyphosate alone. In order to preserve the efficacy of the post-emergence treatment and prevent selection pressure, Flexstar GT 3.5 should be applied to weeds that are 2 to 4 inches tall.
